A tapas festival has been going on the last three weeks in old town casca viejo so a couple of my friends from the program and I decided to finally try it out. It goes on until the 3rd of november, but we wanted to get started as there are 35 restaurants participating and so much to try! Each restaurant basically features one tapa for 1.50euro, and at each place you go to, you get a stamp so you remember where you went to and can compare with the others. We decided to try it out to see if the food was as good as people had said and what the place and environment were like in this concurso de tapas. We first went to Cafe-Bar Cosmos to try porco agridoce ó curry con melocotón and decided to hop on over to the place next door callled O Croquetas to try the churrasquiño con teriyaki, We decided to try out two more and had roliños a princesa at Hotel Princesa and fabada at El Amante. Each place was very unique and had its own neat set up. I liked the first dish the best as it was the perfect mixture between sweet and savory. The last dish I tried was like a bean soup and would be perfect for a cold night. All the tapas were amazing, and as I still have 31 restaurants to try, I will be making my way back over there in the near future. Enjoy the food pix!
